Pre-Clinical Modelling

Pre-clinical modelling is a critical transitional step in determining whether research findings are physiologically relevant. This step is essential for bringing in vitro findings to testing in human clinical trials. Our approach is to continuously innovate new models of disease to begin testing early in the research process, ultimately ensuring translational capacity.

Related Projects

To identify novel therapeutics that can target the bone marrow environment to destroy and prevent leukemia. By better understanding the optimal bone marrow conditions needed to support healthy blood stem cells, this study also has the potential to improve stem cell transplantation therapies.

The combination of standard of care chemotherapy, coupled with novel drugs discovered by our group, is hoped to prevent cancer relapse.

Screening for repurposed drugs that rescue our preclinical TAO2 autism spectrum disorder models, and working to move these into Phase I clinical trials.
